Robots for the Home & Health Care System

Care Robots are being designed to increase the productivity of caregivers, help counter loneliness and isolation, and serve as a care partner for managing chronic illness. You will learn about five Robot categories: Smart Home Robots, Hospital Robots, Humanoid Robots, Care/Companion Robots, and Pet-like Robots. We will close with reflections on the current and future use of robots in the home and care system.
