Advent themes of listening, waiting and joyful gratitude are in many great secular works of fiction. Join the Rev. Pam Tyler in exploring some memorable short stories against the backdrop of the Advent biblical texts. This is not a literary exercise nor a forum for proselytizing. Authors include Ursula Le Guin, Ray Bradbury, George Saunders, Flannery O’Connor, and Grace Paley. Reading materials and the syllabus will be sent the fourth week of November.
