ID : 2206
« back to classes page
Post World War II American music was ready for a big change. Big band jazz gave way to bebop. Boogie-woogie pianos jammed. The blues turned electric, later morphing into R&B. Doo wop blasted off. Hillbilly music and gospel joined the chorus. Delve into the factors leading to the rise of R & B and revisit big names like Louis Jordan, Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, Hank Williams, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and the King: Elvis. After the course, enjoy an optional group outing. Click here for a more detailed class description.
